THE ROLE

The Supply Chain Operations Manager will oversee and manage the end-to-end logistics and operations functions for Strathberry, ensuring that our luxury items are delivered on time, in perfect condition, and with the exceptional level of service that defines our brand. This role will be responsible for enhancing operational efficiencies, optimising supply chain workflows, and collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders to maintain the brand\'s high standards. Proven experience working in a luxury fashion or high-end retail industry is preferable.

Please note: This is a full-time, permanent position based in London or Edinburgh. We are currently operating a hybrid working approach with a minimum of 3 fixed days required each week working from our London or Edinburgh City Centre locations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Logistics Management:

  • Lead and manage the entire logistics function, including warehousing, inventory management, order fulfilment, shipping, and returns for both domestic and international markets.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with logistics partners (couriers, freight forwarders, and third-party fulfilment centres) to ensure seamless operations.
  • Oversee international shipping strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery to customers globally.
  • Ensure compliance with all international trade regulations, customs, and duties for global shipments.

Supply Chain Optimisation

  • Develop and implement efficient supply chain strategies to ensure on-time delivery of products.
  • Work with Merch and Ecom teams to monitor and adjust inventory levels to balance supply and demand, reducing stockouts and overstock situations.
  • Collaborate with the production and procurement teams to ensure the timely delivery of raw materials and finished products.
  • Forecast demand, manage lead times, and work to minimize operational bottlenecks or delays.

Operational Strategy and Improvement:

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the logistics and operations functions to improve efficiency globally, reduce costs, and maintain high standards.
  • Implement best practices in warehouse management, inventory control, and distribution.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure logistics and operational effectiveness, including shipping accuracy, on-time delivery, and cost efficiency.
  • Lead and implement new technology and systems (e.g., warehouse management systems, inventory management tools) to streamline operations.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and mentor, foster a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Ensure ongoing training and development of team members to stay ahead of industry trends and best practices.
  • Manage relationships with external service providers, ensuring they meet the high standards required for a luxury brand.

Customer Experience:

  • Work cross-functionally with customer service, sales, and marketing teams to ensure seamless order fulfilment and timely customer deliveries.
  • Address and resolve any operational or logistical issues that may impact the customer experience, ensuring that the brand\'s reputation for excellence is maintained.

Budget and Cost Management:

  • Ensure cost-effective strategies are in place without compromising quality or customer satisfaction.
  • Analyse and optimize logistics costs, negotiate with suppliers, and identify areas for potential savings.

To be a star candidate for this position, you must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

Experience:

  • Proven experience working in a luxury fashion or high-end retail industry.
  • Minimum of 10 years in logistics, supply chain management, or operations leadership, preferably in the luxury fashion or high-end retail industry.
  • Proven track record of leading logistics functions across multiple regions and handling high-value, luxury products.
  • Experience working with international shipping regulations, customs processes, and global logistics management.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, manage, and grow a high-performing team.
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain management, warehousing, and inventor control systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a data-driven approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
