The Role
Reporting to the Production Manager , the Production Coordinator - Luxury Leather Accessories & Textiles will join our Design Production & Merchandising team.
Playing a key role in coordinating end-to-end production operations, managing critical paths, supplier relationships, purchase orders, costs, and delivery schedules to ensure products are produced and delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
Working across internal teams and external partners, the role proactively resolves production issues, maintains accurate reporting and systems, and supports continuous process improvement.
Please note: This is a 6-month fixed term-contract, the role is based in Edinburgh. We are currently operating a hybrid working approach with a minimum of 3 fixed days required each week working from our beautiful Townhouse in Edinburgh City Centre.

Key Responsibilities
Production Critical Path & Order Management
- Own and maintain the production Critical Path (CP), ensuring key milestones and delivery dates are achieved.
- Proactively identify delays, risks and bottlenecks, escalating issues and driving actions to keep production on track.
- Monitor production progress from order placement through to finished goods delivery.
- Maintain accurate production trackers, order information and delivery schedules.
- Work closely with UK suppliers, workshops and the Spain team to chase outstanding actions and resolve production issues.
- Support seasonal production planning and ensure priorities are clearly communicated across relevant teams.
Purchase Orders & Production Administration
- Raise and maintain Purchase Orders (POs) accurately and within agreed timelines.
- Ensure PO quantities, costs, delivery dates and supplier information are correct and updated when changes occur.
- Track PO confirmations and ensure suppliers/workshops acknowledge orders and agreed delivery dates.
- Support reconciliation of production orders, raw materials and finished goods where required.
- Maintain accurate production documentation and filing.
Invoice & Cost Management
- Review and approve supplier and production invoices, checking costs against agreed pricing and POs.
- Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies with suppliers and Finance.
- Support accurate tracking of production costs and identify unexpected cost variances.
- Support stock valuation and CMT/production cost reconciliation as required.
Supplier & Workshop Coordination
- Act as a key day-to-day contact for manufacturing partners and suppliers.
- Build strong working relationships with workshops while ensuring agreed timelines, quality standards and processes are followed.
- Coordinate the onboarding and administration of new workshops and suppliers.
- Ensure required supplier documentation, approvals and production information are received and maintained.
- Support supplier performance reviews and follow up agreed corrective actions.
Raw Materials & Production Readiness
- Coordinate with Product Development, Materials and Production teams to ensure raw materials, components and approved specifications are available in line with production requirements.
- Track material availability against production start dates and highlight shortages or risks.
- Support raw material ordering and allocation where required.
- Ensure production does not proceed without the required approvals, specifications and materials in place.
Quality & Delivery Coordination
- Coordinate QC requirements and ensure production is available for inspection in line with agreed timelines.
- Track rejected, delayed or reworked production and ensure corrective actions are followed through.
- Coordinate finished goods readiness and shipment requirements with Logistics/Warehouse teams.
- Support investigation and resolution of production, quality and delivery issues.
Systems, Reporting & Process Improvement
- Maintain accurate production information across relevant systems, trackers and reporting tools.
- Produce regular updates on production status, upcoming deliveries, risks and outstanding actions.
- Ensure production data is accurate and available to support wider business planning and decision-making.
- Identify opportunities to improve production processes, reporting and ways of working.
- Support implementation of new systems and processes, including ERP readiness and data accuracy.
- Support continuous improvement projects across production, supplier management, packaging and operational processes.
Cross-Functional Working
- Work closely with Product Development, Technical, Quality, Merchandising, Finance, Logistics and the Spain Operations team.
- Ensure clear communication of production priorities, changes, risks and delivery expectations.
- Take ownership of actions arising from production meetings and ensure they are progressed through to completion.
- Provide wider operational and administrative support to the Production team during peak periods and key seasonal milestones.

About You
To be a star candidate for this position, you must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar production role, ideally with experience and technical knowledge of leather goods production
- Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills, as well as meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task, execute production goals and adhere to strict deadlines
- Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English
- Positive attitude with strong problem-solving skills
