The Role Reporting to the Brand Director, Strathberry is looking for an Editorial Manager to define, develop and embed the brand’s voice across all touchpoints. This is a pivotal role responsible for shaping how the brand communicates, ensuring a consistent, elevated and emotionally resonant narrative across campaigns, product, and channels. You will own the end-to-end development of brand storytelling, from defining seasonal narratives and key messages, through to writing and overseeing all copy output. You will also lead the creation of repeatable content franchises that extend the brand world beyond campaigns and build deeper engagement with our audience. Sitting at the intersection of Brand, Marketing and E-commerce, this role connects creative intent with commercial output, ensuring a clear and consistent narrative across every touchpoint. As the brand grows, there is significant scope to evolve this role into a broader editorial function.
Please note: This is a full-time, permanent position based in Edinburgh or London. We are currently operating a hybrid working approach with a minimum of 3 fixed days required each week working from our beautiful Edinburgh or London offices.
Key Responsibilities- Brand Voice: Homepage and site content; Product descriptions (PDP); Editorial features and blog content; Email copy; Social (organic and paid); Press releases, lookbooks and wholesale materials.
- Act as the final editorial sign-off for all written output across the business.
- Evolve and maintain tone of voice guidelines, ensuring they remain aligned with the brand’s positioning and direction.
- Define and evolve tone of voice principles across all customer interactions, including clienteling and customer service communication.
- Act as the central authority on all brand messaging, ensuring consistency and quality across every customer touchpoint.
- Narrative: E-commerce (homepage, PDP and trading moments); Design and Merchandising (lead product naming and launch messaging).
- Brief internal teams and external collaborators on content direction and copy requirements.
- Editorial Network: Brief supporting still life or asset needs where required.
- Own proofing and approval of all copy prior to go-live or send.
