The Retail Boutique Supervisor supports the Boutique Manager and Assistant Manager in overseeing daily store operations, driving sales performance, and delivering exceptional customer service. The Supervisor leads by example on the shop floor, provides guidance to the retail team, and ensures the boutique operates smoothly while maintaining the highest standards of brand representation.

Please note: This is a part-time, permanent position based in our beautiful Covent Garden store in London City Centre, working three days per week on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales management & reporting
  • Represent and embody the brand’s core values across all customer and team interactions.
  • Maintain a strong floor presence, leading the team in delivering exceptional customer service and luxury retail standards.
  • Support the Boutique Manager and Assistant Manager in achieving store sales targets and KPIs.
  • Monitor daily store performance and contribute feedback on trading, customer behaviour, and sales opportunities.
  • Ensure accurate input and reporting of sales data and retail performance information.
  • Act as a key point of contact on the shop floor during shifts, providing guidance and support to the retail team.
  • Assist management in identifying opportunities to improve sales performance and customer experience.

Team leadership & People management:

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and support to Sales Associates, ensuring strong teamwork and collaboration.
  • Lead by example in customer service, product knowledge, and brand representation.
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to team members to help drive individual and store performance.
  • Assist management in maintaining effective team communication and motivation.
  • Support rota coordination and help ensure adequate floor coverage during trading hours.
  • Escalate team or operational concerns to the Boutique Manager or Assistant Manager when required.

Relationship management:

  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.
  • Support local outreach initiatives to drive boutique footfall, including relationships with hotels, tour guides, and local businesses.
  • Assist with customer outreach initiatives and CRM engagement where applicable.
  • Support collaboration with marketing, wholesale, and other departments during store events or brand activities.

Inventory:

  • Support stock control processes and assist with stocktakes and end-of-year inventory audits.
  • Ensure accurate stock handling procedures, including shipping, receiving, and stock organisation.
  • Provide feedback on stock availability, customer demand, and product performance.
  • Maintain excellent visual merchandising standards and ensure displays support sales performance.

Marketing/Brand:

  • Support the execution of in-store events, promotions, and product launches.
  • Assist in preparing the boutique for marketing activities such as press days, retail events, and special campaigns.
  • Ensure brand presentation, storytelling, and visual standards are consistently maintained.

Operations & Compliance:

  • Support daily boutique operations to ensure smooth and efficient trading.
  • Act as a keyholder when required, ensuring secure opening and closing procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, including cash handling, banking, and store administration.
  • Support health & safety compliance within the boutique and escalate issues where necessary.
  • Help maintain a clean, organised, and safe retail environment.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Lead by example, promoting a culture of collaboration, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
  • Stay informed about retail trends, competitor activity, and best practices.
  • Encourage knowledge sharing and positive team engagement within the store.
  • Support initiatives that enhance customer experience and store performance.
