We are seeking an experienced, registered Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team at Strathallan School. The successful candidate will demonstrate empathy when working with young people and have a broad range of clinical skills. Experience of NHS mental health pathways would be advantageous, but is not essential.

This is a part-time, term-time only role (15 hours per week) on a rota basis:

  • Monday to Friday: 08:30–17:00
  • Saturday: 08:00–15:00 (subject to sporting fixtures)

Flexibility, discretion, and strong attention to detail are essential.

The Health Centre is staffed by a dedicated team of nurses, supported by a Medical Secretary, and offers excellent facilities including a ward, treatment rooms, and consulting spaces. GP clinics are held twice weekly, with ongoing medical support available.

Role Overview

You will deliver high-quality nursing care to pupils and first aid support across the school community, including:

  • Managing nurse-led clinics and responding to medical needs
  • Supporting pupil wellbeing, including mental health
  • Maintaining care plans and medical records
  • Liaising with parents, staff, and healthcare professionals
  • Promoting health education and preventative care
  • Ensuring safe management of medication and clinical supplies

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (NMC)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ post-registration experience
  • Ability to work independently with sound clinical judgement
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
