The Stratford Country Club, a long-standing year-round community sports & event facility, is looking for dynamic individuals to join our team. Our operations include many different streams: Golf, Curling, Indoor Golf, Restaurant, Takeout, Weddings & Special Events, and Catering. We are looking for energetic, friendly individuals to be a part of our busy hospitality department. Individuals that have a professional demeanor, positive attitude and are willing to learn new things.

Job Summary

  • Lead our restaurant team by cooking in our restaurant.
  • Ensure that kitchen standards and menu specifications are followed.
  • Assist in the training of new staff in all aspects of the kitchen (food, cooking, safety, etc.).
  • Assist with menu & special planning.
  • Prep food for restaurant.
  • Opening & Closing duties; including but not limited to flipping the line, cleaning fryers, cleaning flat top, restocking fridges, sweeping & mopping.
  • Ensures SCC Health & Safety policies, WHIMIS training and standards are followed.
  • Ensure the cleanliness of kitchens including washing dishes as required.
  • Assist with events/banquets as required.

Experience Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years’ kitchen experience.
  • Food Handlers Certificate preferred but not required, Smart Serve preferred but not required.

Work Environment

Work in restaurant/kitchen area can be very hot during the summer months, very steamy, greasy atmosphere, as well as outdoor environments.

Hourly Rate

Hourly Rate: $24.50/hr. plus tip share.
