The Stratford Country Club, a long-standing year-round community sports & event facility, is looking for dynamic individuals to join our team. Our operations include many different streams: Golf, Curling, Indoor Golf, 53 North Restaurant, Takeout, Weddings & Special Events, and Catering. We are looking for energetic, friendly individuals to be a part of our busy hospitality department. Individuals should have a professional demeanor, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn new things.
Job Summary
The cleaning position is responsible for the following but not limited to:
- Clean and sanitize washrooms, including toilets, sinks, counters, and mirrors
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors throughout the building
- Empty and replace garbage and recycling liners
- Refill washroom supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels, etc.)
- Spot clean walls, doors, and high-touch surfaces
- Report any maintenance issues or supply needs to supervisor
- Ensure SCC Health & Safety policies, WHIMIS training, and standards are followed

Position Specifications
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Commercial Building Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment. This role involves routine cleaning of washrooms, common areas, and floors, ensuring the building is consistently well-presented for staff and visitors.
Experience
- Previous commercial or general cleaning experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks (standing, bending, lifting light to moderate weight)
- Must be comfortable working early mornings or late nights
Work Environment
Four consecutive days per week, cleaning shifts may take place: Early mornings before business hours, or late evenings after business hours. Consistent schedule available once assigned.
