An opportunity has arisen for the role of two Senior Clerical Assistant within the Vehicle Pound. Post holder's duties include the administration of the abandoned vehicle scheme, illegally parked vehicle removals and restoration procedures using a computerised database and processing financial transactions.
The post holder will be required to deal with members of the public face to face and on the phone, investigate and respond to enquiries concerning reports of abandoned vehicles, update daily spreadsheets, liaise with other departments and provide clerical support to the Pound Supervisors.
Other duties require the daily deployment and planning of available resources for vehicle uplift requests and reporting of defects within the Pound including uplift vehicles. Experience dealing with the public and confrontational situations is essential, as is the ability to remain calm under pressure. Knowledge of relevant computer software packages such as Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) is also essential.
The role also involves administering processing of bus lane and low‑emission zone offences captured by CCTV. Knowledge of Decriminalisation of Parking Enforcement is desirable.
Working Hours: Post holder will work a three‑shift system from 07:30 to 22:00 hours, variable with shift changes as required.
