Glasgow recently established a new Destination Management Organisation (DMO) to serve as the city’s voice to the world. Called Destination Glasgow, the new unit sits within Economic Development, in the Chief Executive’s Department and this post reports to the Senior Officer (Marketing, Communications & Digital).
We are looking for a talented Public Relations Officer who will act as our city‑wide communications and content lead with responsibility for delivering all Destination Glasgow B2B and B2C communications.
Responsibilities:- Promote Destination Glasgow using an integrated communications approach, working with digital and marketing specialists to ensure the city’s brand, vision and future developments are communicated consistently to all audiences.
- Deliver the media strategy for Destination Glasgow, manage media enquiries and create compelling stories that highlight Glasgow’s evolution and ambition.
- Act as the city‑wide communications and content lead for all Destination Glasgow B2B and B2C communications.
