Digital Media Officer

Located within the Chief Executive\’s Department, Communications & Strategic Partnerships, you will work with the Digital Media and Design team to create and curate engaging digital content that supports the Council\’s communications objectives. You will contribute to the development and delivery of the Council\’s Digital and Social Media Strategy, with a particular focus on engaging with our audiences and supporting related initiatives and activities.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the development, design, and implementation of the Council\’s Digital and Social Media Strategy with a focus on engaging with our audiences.
• Support initiatives and activities.
• Create and curate digital content, including copywriting, editing, proofreading, and uploading to digital channels.
• Direct paid search and social campaigns and build/manage brand consistency through digital content.
• Establish and maintain online communities on all relevant platforms, manage and respond to interactions alongside the customer service team, and create periodic reports to optimise platform messaging by analysing user behaviour trends and communications metrics.
• Analyse performance campaigns.
