We are looking for a skilled Industrial Designer to join our multi-disciplinary design team based just on the outskirts of Woking. You will be responsible for designing and developing innovative products, creating prototypes, pre-production drawings and working on a diverse range of projects including bespoke brand installations, smart hardware products, and commercial interior schemes. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical design skills who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys problem solving, refining prototypes and solutions to meet high-quality standards and client demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 3D CAD models and production-ready technical drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Produce shop drawings, construction drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs) with clear specifications for manufacturers and subcontractors.
- Prepare fabrication ready documentation and liaise with manufacturers to ensure design intent is maintained throughout production.
- Collaborate with software developers, graphic and UI UX designers to deliver integrated hardware and digital solutions.
- Coordinate with site teams to resolve design conflicts and ensure constructability.
- Support supplier and contractor coordination, including procurement and technical documentation.
- Contribute to cost estimates and BOMs to support budgeting and commercial decision making.
- Participate in site surveys and interpret findings to inform design development.
Required Skills & Experience
- A degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field.
- 2-4 years experience in Industrial Design and Product Design.
- An understanding of joinery and sheet metal fabrication, with the ability to design for manufacture.
- Knowledge of product development processes, from ideation to production.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills for working with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD 2D.
- Experience in supporting cost estimation.
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
Desirable Skills
- Ability to create realistic 3D visuals and renderings using 3ds Max and VRay.
- 3D printing experience or a keenness to learn.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Happy to travel to site as and when required.

- Salary: 32-42K Depending on experience.
- Hours: Monday–Thursday 9:00am–5:30pm, Friday 9:00am–4:00pm.
- 22 days holiday plus bank holidays. (+ 1 day extra for every year worked, up to a maximum of 30 days)
