Finance Director

Location: Wetherby, West Yorkshire

Salary: £100,000 - £130,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Working Pattern: Full-time, 5 days per week office based

Reporting to: Managing Director

What You'll Be Doing:

• Acting as a trusted business partner to the Managing Director and leadership team.
• Leading budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Providing commercial insight to support strategic decision-making.
• Improving cash flow visibility, working capital management and capital planning.
• Developing robust financial controls, reporting and governance.
• Delivering meaningful management information and board reporting.
• Building, developing and leading the finance team.
• Identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and ways of working.
• Supporting growth initiatives and wider business projects.
• Using technology and AI to improve efficiency, visibility and decision-making.

About You:

• You may already be operating as a Finance Director, or you could be an ambitious Head of Finance, Financial Controller or ready to step into your first Finance Director position.
• What matters most is your ability to combine commercial thinking, leadership and a hands-on approach, together with a proven track record of improving business performance.
• You'll bring ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
• Strong financial planning, reporting and cash management expertise.
• Experience gained within a growing SME or owner-managed business.
• A proven track record of improving cash flow, profitability, financial controls or business performance, with clear measurable results.
• Experience implementing new financial systems, controls or reporting processes that increased efficiency, visibility or performance.
• The ability to influence business decisions at board level and challenge constructively.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience leading and developing finance teams.
• A proactive mindset and genuine desire to improve processes, systems and business performance.
