The business is profitable, ambitious and investing for the future. Finance now needs a leader who can build the frameworks, reporting, processes and insight that will support the next stage of growth.

You'll work directly alongside a commercially minded and highly driven Managing Director, helping shape business decisions, improving financial visibility and building a finance function capable of supporting the next stage of growth. The systems, structures and disciplines you put in place won't just support next year's plans, they'll help define how the business operates for years to come.

The business has already established a strong position within its market and continues to grow. Finance now needs a leader who can combine commercial thinking with operational credibility, helping the business make better decisions, improve reporting, strengthen controls and support future expansion.

This role offers something many Finance Director positions don't. The platform is there, the business is growing, the leadership team is engaged, and there is real appetite to invest in systems, technology and improvement. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape how finance operates for years to come.

You'll be joining a business that values ideas, embraces technology and encourages people to challenge, contribute and make a difference.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Acting as a trusted business partner to the Managing Director and leadership team.
  • Leading budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
  • Providing commercial insight to support strategic decision-making.
  • Improving cashflow visibility and capital planning.
  • Developing robust financial controls, reporting and governance.
  • Delivering meaningful management information and board reporting.
  • Building and developing the finance team.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and ways of working.
  • Supporting growth initiatives and wider business projects.
  • Using technology and AI to improve efficiency, visibility and decision-making.

About You

We're open-minded on background and career stage. You may already be operating as a Finance Director, or you could be an ambitious Head of Finance, Financial Controller or senior finance leader looking for the opportunity to step into your first Finance Director position. What matters most is your ability to combine commercial thinking, leadership and a hands-on approach.

You'll bring:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification
  • Strong financial planning, reporting and cash management experience.
  • Experience gained within a growing SME or owner-managed environment.
  • The confidence to influence decisions and challenge constructively.
  • A proactive mindset and a genuine desire to improve things.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • An interest in systems, technology and continuous improvement.

Why Apply?

  • Genuine opportunity to influence the direction of a growing business.
  • Direct access to key decision-makers.
  • Scope to shape and develop the finance function.
  • Strong appetite for investment in technology and systems.
  • Broad exposure across commercial, operational and strategic decisions.
  • A business where your contribution will be recognised and valued.
