Field based | North, Midlands & South UK | Smart Parcel Lockers
We’re supporting a fast‑growing business rolling out a nationwide network of smart parcel lockers across the UK. As installations accelerate, they are looking to hire field‑based technicians to take ownership of on‑site site surveys, installations, commissioning, maintenance, and ongoing support of live locker units across the North, Midlands, and South.
This is a hands‑on field role for someone who enjoys working with physical, connected hardware in real‑world environments.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Installing delivered locker units on site
- Commissioning them into service
- Maintaining live equipment
- Resolving faults in the field
This role is fully field based and does not involve building units from scratch.
Key responsibilities include:
- Install parcel locker units at customer sites
- Conduct pre-installation site surveys to confirm location suitability, access, and ground conditions
- Carry out system checks, functional testing, and go‑live sign‑off
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, or connectivity faults on site
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections on live lockers
- Support firmware or product updates in the field
- Work alongside subcontractors or delivery partners during larger regional rollouts
- Accurately document installations, maintenance activity, and fixes
Experience required:
- Field service, installation, or maintenance roles involving physical and connected equipment
- Strong practical and mechanical aptitude with a logical fault‑finding approach
- Comfortable working independently in a field‑based role
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within your region
Preferred experience includes:
- ATM field engineering
- Vending machines or kiosks
- E‑bike or e‑scooter rental fleets
- Smart lockers, access control, CCTV, parking systems, or EV charging equipment
Electrical qualifications are not essential. Training will be provided on the specific product.
