Some conference producers maintain events.

Others build them.

At Strategy Institute, we’re launching a major new flagship event that has the potential to become one of Canada’s most influential live business experiences.

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Conference Producer who wants the rare opportunity to build an event from the ground up and help shape an entirely new market.

This is far more than producing an agenda.

You’ll define the conversation, build relationships with industry leaders, recruit world-class speakers, identify emerging trends, and create an event that people look forward to attending year after year.

If you’re entrepreneurial, commercially minded, and excited by the challenge of creating something meaningful, we’d love to meet you.

What You’ll Do

You’ll lead the research, strategy, and content development by

  • Developing a compelling multi-track conference agenda.
  • Researching industry trends, emerging topics, audience needs, and commercial opportunities.
  • Recruiting influential executives, innovators, researchers, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders.
  • Building advisory boards and cultivating relationships with industry leaders.
  • Conducting market research through interviews, industry calls, competitor analysis, and event attendance.
  • Working closely with marketing, sponsorship, delegate sales, audience development, and operations teams to deliver an exceptional event.
  • Supporting speakers before and during the conference.
  • Build More Than a Conference

We’re creating a year-round thought leadership platform—not simply an annual event.

Working alongside our marketing team, you’ll identify compelling ideas, expert voices, and industry insights that become:

  • Podcasts
  • Webinars
  • Linked In content
  • Articles
  • Newsletters
  • Speaker interviews
  • Short-form video

Every speaker conversation should create both an outstanding conference session and valuable content that extends our influence throughout the year.

  • What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years of conference production experience.
  • Experience producing commercial conferences, executive summits, or large-scale multi-track events.
  • Exceptional research, interviewing, and agenda development skills.
  • Experience recruiting senior executives, industry experts, keynote speakers, and advisory board members.
  • Strong commercial awareness with an understanding of what drives delegate attendance, sponsorship value, and long-term event growth.
  • Outstanding communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced launch environment.

Experience in a specific industry is less important than your ability to quickly learn new markets, identify emerging trends, and build relationships with influential leaders.

Why Strategy Institute?

For more than 30 years, Strategy Institute has created industry-leading conferences across North America that connect executives, innovators, and decision-makers.

This role offers something few conference producers ever experience: the opportunity to build a flagship event from its earliest stages and leave a lasting mark on its success.

You’ll have the opportunity to

  • Build a flagship event from the ground up.
  • Work directly with senior leadership.
  • Develop relationships with influential business and industry leaders.
  • Shape conference strategy, content, positioning, and long-term growth.
  • Help create an event that becomes the benchmark in its market.
  • Why You’ll Love This Role

If you’re someone who enjoys discovering new ideas, interviewing fascinating people, spotting trends before they become mainstream, and turning those insights into unforgettable live experiences, you’ll thrive here.

This is an opportunity to combine research, storytelling, commercial thinking, and relationship building while creating something that doesn’t yet exist.
