About the Role
We are looking for a supportive and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our Travel & Tourism department at a Sixth Form College in Kensington. You will work closely with teaching staff to help students engage with the curriculum, particularly those with additional learning needs, ensuring they achieve their potential in both classroom-based lessons and practical activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students aged 16-19
- Assist students with understanding course content and completing assignments
- Support students in developing study skills, organisation, and confidence
- Encourage positive engagement and behaviour in the classroom
- Collaborate with teachers and the SEN team to provide tailored support
- Contribute to maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment
About You
- Interest in Travel, Tourism, or related subjects
- Experience supporting young people or learners with additional needs (desirable)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient, flexible, and supportive approach
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues
