Full-Time KS3/KS4 Design Technology Teacher (Resistant Materials & Product Design) – Watford\\nStart Date: January 2026\\nContract: Full-time, Permanent\\nLocation: Watford\\n\\nAbout the Role:\\nWe are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Design Technology Teacher with a specialism in Resistant Materials and Product Design to join a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in Watford.\\n\\nThe successful candidate will teach KS3 and KS4 DT, delivering inspiring practical and theory lessons that foster creativity, independence, and strong academic progress.\\n\\nKey Responsibilities:\\n\\n * \\n\\n Deliver high-quality lessons across the KS3/KS4 Resistant Materials and Product Design curriculum\\n\\n * \\n\\n Maintain a safe, well-organised workshop environment and ensure adherence to health and safety procedures\\n\\n * \\n\\n Plan, assess, and track pupil progress effectively\\n\\n * \\n\\n Contribute to curriculum development within the DT department\\n\\n * \\n\\n Support wider school initiatives and encourage student engagement beyond the classroom\\n\\n * \\n\\n Uphold high expectations for learning, creativity, and behaviour\\n\\nRequirements:\\n\\n * \\n\\n QTS or an equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification\\n\\n * \\n\\n Strong subject knowledge in Resistant Materials and Product Design\\n\\n * \\n\\n Experience teaching DT at KS3 and KS4\\n\\n * \\n\\n Ability to motivate, challenge, and inspire students of all abilities\\n\\n * \\n\\n Excellent communication and classroom/workshop management skills\\n\\nWhat The School Offers:\\n\\n * \\n\\n Supportive and welcoming leadership and staff team\\n\\n * \\n\\n Well-equipped DT facilities, including specialist tools and workshop spaces\\n\\n * \\n\\n Ongoing opportunities for professional development and training\\n\\nHow to Apply:\\nPlease submit your CV or apply directly through the job board.
