Strategy Education work closely with a Secondary School based in Southwark who are requiring Cover Teachers & Cover Supervisors to cover daily and short term contracts. Daily Supply offers flexibility to work when you want to work - so it's perfect if you don't want full time commitments, or if you want to work in a variety of schools each week. QTS or QTLS is desired but not essential.
Candidates must:
- Have a passion for educating children
- Understand the need for flexibility and adaptability
- Have excellent classroom management skills
- Be interested and enjoy being in a school environment
In summary, the responsibilities of a Supply Teacher include:
- Supervising work that has been set
- Managing the behaviour of pupils
- Responding to questions from pupils
- Assisting pupils to undertake activities set
- Collecting completed work after lesson and returning it to the appropriate teacher
- Reporting back as appropriate using the agreed referral procedures within the school
