We are currently recruiting confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to support a range of secondary schools across London. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on classroom experience, develop your confidence, and build a pathway into teacher training.
The Role: As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing a classroom in the absence of the teacher. You will deliver pre-set work, ensure students remain on task, and maintain a positive and focused learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising whole classes during teacher absences
- Delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring students stay engaged
- Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Providing feedback to teaching staff following lessons
- Supporting the wider school team when required
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
- A degree (or be working towards one), or relevant experience in a school setting
- A genuine interest in education and potentially pursuing teaching
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Confidence working with secondary-aged students (KS3βKS5)
- A proactive, flexible, and professional approach
