About the Role
Our client, a high-performing and ambitious secondary school in West London, is seeking to appoint an outstanding 2iC of Mathematics to join their successful and forward-thinking department. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and driven mathematics specialist to play a key leadership role in shaping the curriculum and driving exceptional outcomes for students up to Key Stage 5.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head of Department in leading and developing the Mathematics faculty
- Take responsibility for the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning across KS3–KS5
- Lead on curriculum planning, assessment, and data analysis to raise student attainment
- Mentor and support teaching staff, including ECTs and trainees
- Contribute to whole-school improvement strategies and initiatives
- Promote a culture of high expectations, inclusion, and academic excellence
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong academic background in Mathematics
- Proven experience teaching Mathematics up to KS5
- Demonstrable leadership experience within a school setting (e.g. Key Stage Lead, Second in Department)
- A track record of improving student outcomes
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
