School Medical Officer Vacancy Strategy Education are working with a mixed secondary school in Harwich, Essex who are recruiting for a Medical Officer. School Medical Officer Immediate start Full-time post, 8am – 4pm Monday to Thursday, 8am – 3.30pm Friday Job Description The role includes (but is not limited to) the following tasks: * To take charge of the safekeeping and administration of student medication with parental consent. * Administer First Aid to students and staff as needed. * To have oversight of all matters relating to sick or injured children. * To liaise with parents and medical personnel as required. * To create Care Plans, with parents and HCPs, for all students with specific medical needs. * To advise and train school staff in specific procedures which they may be expected to carry out in the absence of a trained first aider. Person Specification The successful candidate will have: * First Aid at Work qualification * Successful experience of working with children in a school environment * NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification/experience * Good knowledge of appropriate procedures, regulations Location: Harwich, Essex Salary: £14.25 - £22.43 per hour depending on experience and qualifications If you are interested and would like more information, please let me know.
