For a school on the Hertfordshire / West London border, Strategy Education is working on behalf of an exciting and inspiring 11 – 18 secondary school currently rated Good with OfSTED.

The school is looking to recruit a member of staff to add value to the expressive arts side of the curriculum. They are looking for someone who can teach English across all secondary key stages, with A Level teaching being an option for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will join the school in the new academic year. The department is strong with dedicated support staff. English is taught across the key stages and there is a big uptake at A Level.

You will be expected to become an integral part of the team and work with teachers and support staff in the wider faculty and full staff team.

In turn, you will be supported through the ECT pathway. You will be given the support of your mentor to meet all teaching standards and in line with ECT you will have a 10% reduction on your timetable in year 1, 5% in year 2.

All contracts are permanent; you will be employed directly by the school and paid in line with Teachers Pay and Conditions with the benefit of fringe allowance.

The successful candidate will have a relevant undergraduate degree and will be subject to a variety of checks including eligibility to work in the UK, an enhanced DBS, and full references including one from your most recent teaching placement.
