We are seeking an outstanding and dynamic Head of Girls Physical Education to join a thriving secondary school in Ealing from September. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and experienced PE teacher to lead and develop a successful department, inspiring students to achieve excellence both in and out of the classroom.
The Role
- Lead, manage, and develop the Girls PE curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Deliver high-quality, engaging PE lessons that motivate and challenge students of all abilities
- Promote a strong culture of participation, teamwork, and wellbeing
- Organise and lead extracurricular sports clubs, fixtures, and events
- Monitor student progress and drive attainment through effective assessment and intervention
- Support and develop members of the PE department
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Proven experience teaching PE at secondary level
- Experience in leading or supporting within a PE department (e.g. Key Stage lead, second in department)
- A strong track record of improving student outcomes
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- A passion for sport and commitment to extracurricular activities
