We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst (Regulatory Reporting) to work for a World leading financial services organisation located in London on a permanent position.
Role is hybrid with 3 days needed in the office (subject to change) and based in the City of London.
As a Senior Business Analyst you will be reporting to the Product Management leadership and play a critical role in shaping market‑leading regulatory reporting solutions, ensuring compliance with global financial regulations and enabling high‑quality software delivery for financial institutions.
You’ll thrive in this position if you’re diligent, analytical and collaborative, have a strong regulatory attitude, and bring a passion for financial reporting, data and technology to a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Turn regulatory requirements into clear product features and functional specifications, in line with EBA and local regulations.
- Write and maintain Business Requirements (BRDs) and Functional Specifications (FSDs) that clearly explain data inputs, processes, logic, and expected results.
- Work closely with Development, QA, and Product teams to make sure requirements are understood, built correctly, and meet regulatory expectations.
- Act as a subject‑matter expert throughout the product lifecycle, supporting test cases, answering questions, and clarifying regulatory topics.
- Stay up to date on regulatory changes and industry trends, to support the product evolution.
- Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst within financial services or a regulatory / compliance‑focused role of 6-10 years.
- Strong knowledge of EBA and local regulatory reporting (e. g., FINREP, Bank of England statistical reports, Bundesbank reports).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and key banking products (loans, bonds, repos, derivatives, collateral).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into functional documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Science, or a related field.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Axiom SL Controller View, or similar regulatory reporting platforms.
- Understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
- Exposure to data and analytics tools or concepts, such as SQL, or similar technologies.
- Any additional spoken languages e. g. French, Spanish, German, Dutch would be beneficial.
This position will be located in London and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
Salary is neg (dependant on experience) plus excellent benefits.
