We are seeking an IT Operations Engineer to provide hands-on, on-site IT support at our Chippenham facility. This role ensures the smooth operation of local IT systems, infrastructure, and end-user environments across both office and manufacturing settings, working closely with regional IT Operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site technical support for hardware, software, desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and printers.
- Troubleshoot user access, connectivity, and application issues.
- Perform routine checks and basic administration of local servers, ESX hosts, backups, and network equipment.
- Act as first responder for IT incidents, including outages and device failures.
- Support manufacturing-related IT equipment (e.g., scanners, label printers, shop-floor systems).
- Escalate complex issues to regional or specialist IT teams.
- Maintain accurate documentation, asset inventory, and ticket updates.
- Assist with device deployments, refreshes, updates, and compliance activities.
Requirements
- Experience in IT support, IT operations, or systems administration in an on-site environment.
- Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and networks.
- Basic knowledge of Windows server environments and virtualization (e.g., VMware ESX).
- Familiarity with network infrastructure and incident management processes.

- Ability to work independently on-site and support rotational extended coverage when required.
