Our client is seeking a skilled onshore Electrical Engineer to join our Operations Delivery Management Department, providing essential electrical expertise. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for electrical issues, supporting high- and low-voltage maintenance, guiding cost-effective repair decisions, and ensuring maintenance routines are efficient and effective for our offshore teams. This role will be on a temporary basis, with an anticipated end date of 31 July 2026.
Overview
- Acts as the onshore focal point for all matters electrical.
- Provides support to offshore installations for all electrical high and low voltage maintenance requirements.
- Makes cost effective decisions with regard to the repair and maintenance of installation equipment.
- Reviews planned maintenance routines to ensure equipment is maintained correctly whilst making most effective use of work force.
- Determines spares requirement for items of equipment.
- Raises modification requests, reviewing technical content of modification requests raised by offshore.
- Raises contract service orders (technical work scope) for vendors attending offshore.
- Reviews technical content of maintenance frame agreements.
- Assesses and issues authorisation certificates to offshore electrical personnel.
- Works in accordance with agreed performance standards, targets and goals.
- Actively contributes towards continuous improvement initiatives.
- Any other duties as may be required.
Requirements
- BSc in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Preferably chartered/incorporated engineer.
- Extensive relevant experience in electrical engineering.
- Experience in power generation and power distribution.
- Computer literacy for discipline calculations and document processing.
- Good understanding of technical issues and strong problem-analysis skills.
- Working knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
- Experience with commissioning of electrical systems.
