Our client an oil and gas Operator is seeking an experienced process engineer for a 6-Month PAYE Contract position based in Aberdeen with hybrid working and Adhoc-offshore visits.
Support the safe and efficient delivery of the Readiness for First Gas programme through independent engineering assurance.
The role focuses on confirming that process systems, operational barriers, procedures, personnel and plant configurations are fully prepared for hydrocarbon introduction, commissioning and early operations.
Onshore based with offshore trips as required. Reporting to onshore Production Superintendent.
Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence:
- Operational readiness and start-up assurance with focus on key process engineering/ process safety deliverables.
- Hydrocarbon introduction readiness verification
- Commissioning and start-up engineering support
- Leak testing and mechanical integrity assurance
- Operational readiness reviews including PSSR participation
- Start-up procedure updates, risk assessments and roll outs.
- safety critical documentation as-built status
- Interface and support to offshore operations teams
- Verify implementation of project MOCs and HAZOP/LOPA actions
- Support SIMOPS and risk reviews. Including procedural HAZOPs for first start-up procedures.
- Support and facilitate readiness and start-up workshops
