Our client is seeking an experienced Offshore Construction Lead. This is a Permanent position mobilising out of Aberdeen and is for a 3on/4off rotation. FPSO knowledge is essential.
The Construction Lead is responsible for directing and co-ordinating the daily activities of the Construction Team and to support the delivery of health, safety and environmental standards, Technical Integrity Standards and Corporate Management System.
The construction team activities are:
- Fabric maintenance
- MCDR back log reduction
- RM execution
Overview:
The Construction Lead is responsible to the Maintenance Superintendent for:
- Administration of the Construction Department on a day-to-day basis and informing the Maintenance Superintendent of all developments.
- Ensure that all staff including contractors have adequate information to carry out tasks safely and efficiently, in compliance with control measures and site safety precautions.
- Report incidents and non-conformities.
- Ensure that the safety, health and welfare of all the construction team are maintained to client policy and statutory standards.
- Support in the resourcing and development of construction personnel.
- Support the construction team to reach the required standard of competency.
- Ensure commitment to the Technical and Operation Integrity Standards for all maintenance, services and engineering works that are completed by the construction team.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of operational budgets.
- Liaise with contractors, onshore support teams and other departments, keeping them informed of activities that may affect them.
- Provide clear and concise communication of priorities to relevant personnel, including team meetings, handovers and information on targets and performance.
- Perform tasks in a safe and responsible manner, ensuring all personnel under their jurisdiction including Service Engineers, do the same.
- Raise Purchase Requisitions for the ordering of spare equipment and confirm the correct delivery.
- Knowledge of Maintenance Management System (MMS) along with the ability to input/extract data as required.
- Maintain the Construction Department Maximo inputs and manage the same on a regular basis.
Specific knowledge:
- Administration of Maximo Maintenance Management System (MMS) for Planned and Corrective Maintenance work orders relating to construction department.
- The Construction Lead is responsible for ensuring that applicable bolted joints are managed in compliance with the bolted joint integrity manual and associated documents.
- Supervise all construction and fabric maintenance work to ensure they are carried out safely and to an acceptable standard in accordance with client procedures.
- Ensure all air driven tools and equipment are stored and maintained as per maintenance strategy.
- Ensure all specific training certificates for construction department personnel are valid and updated as required.
- Act as offshore focal point for any planned outage/shutdown as instructed by the Maintenance Superintendent.
- Liaise with onshore Facilities Engineer to ensure all work is carried out as per 2 weekly plan.
- Any other duties as directed by the Line Manager, including standing in for other roles within capabilities.
Qualifications Required:
- Combined Offshore Survival, Fire Fighting and HUET Certificate
- MIST / IMIST
- Oil & Gas UK Offshore Medical Certificate
- Oil & Gas UK Certificate of Fitness to Participate in Emergency Response Team Duties
- Approved Awarding Body Mechanical Engineering qualification or equivalent experience
