Our Client is seeking IT/IS Contract Specialists for a temporary 12‑month contract on a PAYE basis, starting ASAP. The role will be based in Aberdeen. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK; no sponsorship is available.
Overview
Our Client are seeking a skilled Contracting & Procurement (C&P) professional to support the Information Technology/Information Systems (IT/IS) category. The successful candidate will help shape and execute the procurement strategy, ensuring continuity of service and a smooth transition of contracts and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support end‑to‑end procurement activities across the IT/IS category, including sourcing, tendering, negotiation, and contract award.
- Support the transition of existing contracts and suppliers into the Client’s IJV structure, including novation, exit, or re‑tender strategies.
- Develop and implement category strategies aligned with business objectives and transition timelines.
- Engage with internal stakeholders (Sub Surface, Wells, Asset, Operations & Finance) to gather requirements and define sourcing approaches.
- Manage supplier relationships, ensuring performance, value delivery, and risk mitigation throughout the transition period.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements (e.g., MSAs, SLAs, TSAs where applicable).
- Ensure compliance with governance, procurement policies, and audit requirements.
- Identify and deliver cost efficiencies and value improvements while maintaining service continuity.
Candidate Profile
Ideally 10‑15 years in Contracting & Procurement, with a strong background in IT/IS; this is non‑negotiable.
Skills & Attributes
- Proven experience in Contracting & Procurement, ideally within IT/IS or technology categories.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, software, and services procurement (e.g., networks, cloud, hardware, managed services).
- Experience supporting business transitions, mergers, separations, or joint ventures (highly desirable).
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills with the ability to manage complex supplier arrangements.
- Experience with contract drafting and negotiation, including transitional arrangements such as TSAs.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of procurement governance and risk management.
Key Experiences and Qualifications
- A degree level (Business/Engineering), CIPS, and/or proven long‑term comprehensive experience within CP.
- Proven track record of execution excellence and delivering results.
