Our client, an Oil and Gas Operator based in Aberdeen is seeking a Senior Document Controller. Experience at Senior level is essential as this role would deputise the Team Lead. This is a long-term PAYE contract role initially until 30 June 2027.
Overview
The role: Execute Document Control support across the business using functional Processes and Procedures. Provide a high level of service influenced by Safety, Compliance, and Company objectives. Key support includes delivery to the following Business Units:
- Assets
- Major Projects/Contracts
- HSE&A
- Subsea Operations
Key Duties
- Ensuring Group Mailbox E-Mails assigned appropriately.
- Accountability for Emergency Response related support.
- Core involvement with Late Life/Decommissioning Engineering Projects.
- Pre/Post Campaign support delivery for Subsea Operations including Safety Critical Close-Out.
- Safety Responsibilities
- Controlled Hardcopy Inspections – Responsibility for Schedule to ensure controlled hardcopies inspected on an annual basis, including Primary/Secondary Emergency Response and Offshore Installations.
- Safety Critical Documentation As-Building/Close-Out – Monitor prioritisation, input into Company Safety Tool monthly in line with Key Point Indicators.
Qualifications & Skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to Business demands, both proactively and reactively.
- Able to work both as part of a group and with own initiative to deliver individually.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience in Document Management ensuring all documents are properly filed, archived, and retrievable.
- Distribute documents to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner within processing target metric.
- Controlled Document Control Management Systems experience both Admin and Engineer.
- Knowledge of Operational Document Control methodologies and best practice.
- Ability and willingness to provide Internal/External Training, raise Document Control awareness.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
- Familiarity with As-Building/Safety Critical Close-Out.
- Handled Archive/Legacy related Documentation requests.
- Maintain a continuous improvement mindset including Process Innovation and Efficiencies.
- Confidentiality and integrity.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Minimum Qualifications
A minimum of Standard Grade Education or equivalent. Higher/tertiary qualifications desirable.
