Our Client, a Major Oil and Gas Operator is seeking an experienced Data Engineer. This is an initial 12 Month PAYE Contract role based in Aberdeen.
Role Overview
Our client is looking for a Data Engineer to design, build, and deliver robust data solutions that support business insight and decision making. You will work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable, production ready solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner directly with business teams to interpret functional and technical requirements.
- Design, develop, and maintain data solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform.
- Build analytics solutions using modern data engineering technologies e.g. Microsoft Fabric.
- Deliver high quality, well governed data products in a fast paced, changing environment.
- Collaborate effectively within a multi disciplinary delivery team.
Role Requirements
- Proven experience with the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI Dataflows.
- Some experience with modern data engineering platforms, preferably Microsoft Fabric, but other platforms also relevant.
- Solid understanding of data engineering principles such as data modelling, orchestration, and performance optimization.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team oriented mindset.
- Experience working in, or delivering solutions for, an oil and gas environment.
