My client, a research and development company specialising in the use of composite materials to produce high-performance structures based in Chippenham, are currently looking for a Production Operative / Fitter to join their growing team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join a young, dynamic, and forward-thinking company where you will be more than just an employee, but an integral part of an ambitious future. The company also runs a 9-day working fortnight offering a 3 day weekend every other week!

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and have strong communication skills, encompassing a professional attitude with integrity and team spirit. They are looking for someone adaptable and passionate about their work, with excellent work ethics and attention to detail. Strong manufacturing background and assembly experience are necessary for this position. Full training will be given to the right individual.

Key Duties:

  • Resin transfer moulding (RTM) and infusion
  • Resin metering, mixing, and degassing
  • Laminating/Wrapping of preforms, specifically wheels
  • Material cutting and kitting
  • Trimming and deflashing of moulded components
  • Hand finishing of moulded components
  • General housekeeping and related production activities

Essential:

  • Manually dexterous with the hands
  • Comfortable using hand tools
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experienced in working in a low/medium volume manufacturing operation
  • Meticulous and quality-focused
