A leading fire protection company is looking to recruit 4 experienced Joiners / Carpenters / Fire Door Installation Engineers to help with a prestigious 3-4 month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled professionals with experience in fire door installations and remedial works to join a well-established business with a strong reputation in the fire safety sector.

The Role: You will be responsible for carrying out fire door installations within a team across a large commercial site in Leeds. You will ensure all work is completed to the highest standards while maintaining full compliance with current fire safety regulations and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete fire door installation work
  • Install fire door hardware, including hinges, locks, closers, seals, and ironmongery
  • Ensure all fire door works comply with current fire safety regulations and manufacturer specifications
  • Accurately record completed actions
  • Work independently and as part of a wider team
  • Liaise with management and clients to provide updates on project progress
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and customer service
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies

Fire Door Engineer Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in fire door installation and remedial work
  • Strong knowledge of fire door regulations, compliance requirements, and industry standards
  • Excellent carpentry skills and attention to detail
  • NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry or equivalent qualification
  • Good understanding of health and safety regulations and safe working practices
  • Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Must have own tools
  • CSCS Card required

Rates: £17/hr PAYE, £22/hr CIS / UTR / Ltd. / Umbrella
