Working within a small team for an Engineering company you will have (and share) responsibility for managing, organising, and maintaining stock in an Engineering Goods In/Out stores. Duties will include: ensuring goods are received accurately, booked-in/out, stored safely, and dispatched efficiently to departments, production lines, and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving & Dispatching
  • Unloading deliveries
  • Inspecting goods for damage
  • Verifying that incoming/outgoing items match purchase orders
  • Inventory Control: Updating computerised inventory management systems
  • Conducting regular stock checks/audits
  • Monitoring stock thresholds to prevent shortages
  • Picking & Kitting for the Manufacturing department
  • Preparing and packing goods for despatch

Essential Requirements & Skills:

  • Forklift Certification: A counterbalance or reach truck license is essential.
  • Experience using computerised warehouse/inventory management systems
  • Strong attention to detail to prevent discrepancies

Permanent Position via a 3 month temp-to-perm with the recruiting agency. Salary circa £26,500. Regular Days, 39 hours per week, 28 days holiday.
