Trades Supervisor in City of London

INITIALLY FOR 6 MONTHS THEN POSSIBILITY OF BECOMING PERMANENT.

We are seeking a candidate with strong team and people management skills, capable of overseeing multi-trades and contractors. The ideal candidate will have experience working to deadlines, prioritising workloads, and solving complex problems effectively. A solid understanding of Health and Safety legislation is essential. Recent experience in a similar role, particularly overseeing operatives within void repairs, planned, or reactive maintenance is required. Local Authority/Social Housing sector experience is highly advantageous. Key responsibilities include supervising and overseeing multi‑trades: directly employed operatives (DLOs) and subcontractors. You will ensure Health & Safety compliance, conduct risk assessments, and lead toolbox talks. On‑site, you will manage multi‑trades, drive productivity, and oversee performance. Effective resource and workload planning, quality assurance through regular audits, and maintaining documented records are crucial. You will also be responsible for scoping void works and post‑inspecting works to ensure they meet Lettable standards. You should be IT competent, have a clean, full UK driving licence, and possess strong leadership skills with a solid understanding of multi‑trade activities and health and safety standards. A City & Guilds qualification, NVQ 2/3, or relevant experience in one or more trades is preferable.
