ABL Health will soon be launching a new Healthy Lifestyle service in Gloucestershire, commissioned by Gloucestershire County Council . This transformative service seeks to work collaboratively with communities to transform the lives of the local population. The service will support residents to help them lose weight, stop smoking, reduce alcohol consumption, get more active and improve their wellbeing - all embedded in sustainable behaviour change. The service will also deliver the 1001 days programme supporting families with healthy lifestyles through pregnancy to childs second birthday, as well as the Healthy Workplace award scheme
This is a leadership role where the post holder will have a real influence on the clinical and operational excellence of the service. The post holder will take a pro-active lead in building relationships, partnerships and alliances in the community, secondary care, and primary care settings, and supporting specialist advisors to deliver outcomes that benefit clients referred to the service. They will be responsible for the line management of staff working across Gloucestershire.
The post holder must have extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in public health or behaviour-change settings.
The salary will be pro rata based on £32,000 to £38,000 DOE

Main Duties And Responsibilities
The post holder has responsibility of delivering the following key result areas:
Exercise strong practice leadership in a style and manner consistent with the companys values, sharing best practices, positively influencing colleagues at all levels, and encouraging reflective practice and a culture of continuous improvement.
Drive quality improvement across the division and support the Gloucestershire service contributing towards overall objectives.
Conduct observations across all services and feed improvements needed in each service development plan.
Provide a leadership role in service planning, development, implementation, and coordination of all elements of the service.
To develop and coordinate a team of Advisors to ensure they provide evidence based interventions to Gloucestershire residents.
Line manage a team and be responsible for supervision and day to day management.
Actively involved in the promotion and advertisement of the service.
To support the team with their professional development ensuring audits and observations are scheduled regularly.
To and ensure weekly/monthly updates are provided to the Head of Service.
Effectively work with the data team, Heads of Service, and Project leads to ensure the data for all services demonstrate clear outcomes.
Work with the Professional leads to embed the integrated service strategy across all services.
Work collaboratively with key stakeholders in the community, primary care, and secondary care to ensure a seamless referral pathway and feedback system is adhered to and improved where necessary.
Input to multi -disciplinary meetings as required.
Work in partnership with primary care, secondary care, and community stakeholders to disseminate information and deliver campaigns.
Increase referrals by promoting and communicating with other professionals.
Contribute to the social values of the service.
Work within agreed boundaries and relevant policies and standard operating procedures.
Plan and organise workloads effectively
Ensure robust client records are up to date at all times.
Use reflection and evaluation to improve service delivery.
Delivery of training to appropriate professionals and other stakeholders.
