An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing environment in Telford. The role involves providing both electrical and mechanical engineering support to ensure plant, equipment, and installations operate efficiently with minimal downtime.

Responsibilities:
- Provide electrical and mechanical maintenance support across site operations
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns efficiently
- Diagnose faults, identify root causes, and complete repairs to a high standard
- Ensure all maintenance work is accurately recorded using a computerised maintenance management system
- Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and meet operational priorities
- Maintain safe working practices in line with Health & Safety legislation
- Ensure compliance with Electricity at Work Regulations and Health & Safety at Work Act
- Take ownership of housekeeping and maintaining a safe working environment
- Support continuous improvement and personal development
Health, Safety & Environmental Responsibilities:
- Follow all site health, safety and environmental policies and procedures
- Wear appropriate PPE at all times
- Ensure contractors and visitors comply with site safety rules
- Be aware of emergency procedures including fire evacuation routes
The Ideal Candidate:
The successful candidate will have strong electrical and mechanical maintenance experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment. You will be a proactive problem-solver with good communication skills and a strong commitment to safety and quality and hold relevant qualifications and experience in a similar role.
Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 08:30 - 16:30
Friday: 08:30 - 14:30 (Nice early finish)
