As a key member of Strata's Senior Leadership Team, the Head of Event Support is responsible for shaping and executing the strategic vision for our Event Support function. This senior‐level role combines operational excellence with strong leadership, team management, and process innovation. You will ensure world‐class delivery across all live projects through exceptional planning, logistics, and execution.

We are seeking an experienced leader from the events industry, ideally with a background in outdoor events, expos, event structures, or brand activation, who thrives in a fast‐paced environment. You will champion our support capabilities internally and externally, ensuring that every delivery reflects Strata's high standards of precision, creativity, and safety.

You will lead a diverse team of event support managers, warehouse staff, and operators, fostering a culture of accountability, clarity, and collaboration. Your leadership will ensure we consistently exceed client expectations and maintain the highest levels of operational performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Set and execute the strategic direction for Event Support in alignment with Strata's overall goals. Collaborate with senior colleagues (including Project Managers, Account Directors, and Production Leads) to ensure operational excellence supports our creative and delivery objectives. Represent the Event Support function within the company, promoting its capabilities and championing best practices.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee the support management team, warehouse manager, and operator teams to ensure efficient project delivery and resource allocation. Manage departmental performance by tracking revenue, costs, utilisation, and efficiency, implementing strategies to optimise outcomes. Champion health and safety, maintaining compliance across warehouse, vehicle, and equipment operations. Drive continuous improvement in logistics, resource management, and support processes, integrating new technologies and best practices. Lead, mentor, and develop a high‐performing team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and personal growth. Implement training programs to strengthen support skill sets and maintain high professional standards. Promote a positive, inclusive, and solutions‐oriented workplace culture.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Traffic Management: Oversee compliance with Operators Licence and DVLA regulations; manage the operational aspects of the vehicle and plant fleet. Supplier Management: Manage key supplier relationships, including logistics, production, and transportation partners. Reporting: Provide updates to the Board on operational performance, health and safety, and ongoing improvements.

  • In‐depth understanding of event support, logistics, and health & safety standards.
