Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 8:15am – 4:45pm, Monday to Friday

As our Graduate Sustainability Project Officer, you’ll kickstart your career at the forefront of sustainable innovation, playing a key role in delivering our sustainability strategy and helping shape the future of homebuilding. You’ll work alongside passionate teams, contribute to real projects, and help embed sustainability into every corner of our company, focusing on enhancing ESG reporting, elevating our sustainability credentials and driving improved environmental performance and standards across our sites.

You will have the opportunity to build a strong foundation in sustainability by gaining hands-on experience across a wide range of impactful areas. Responsibilities of the role

  • Assist the delivery of our sustainability strategy across all focus areas through project delivery, monitoring and reporting.
  • Collate, monitor and report on key sustainability metrics, including environmental performance, carbon emissions, energy consumption, social value delivery and other key indicators in line with industry best practice and frameworks.
  • Support supply chain mapping and engagement to understand and improve sustainability performance throughout the value chain.
  • Create and deliver training and engagement to team members to improve the wider team\’s knowledge, understanding and performance of key sustainability issues and our sustainability strategy.
  • Collect data and evidence to ensure compliance against sustainability benchmarks, frameworks and standards, including but not exclusive to the NextGeneration benchmark, Considerate Constructors Scheme and B-Corp.
  • Provide support to site teams to ensure compliance, communicate best practice and to roll out initiatives to improve the environmental and social impact of our work.
  • Assist the delivery of engagement opportunities to community stakeholders through a variety of events, workshops, education experiences and other community outreach mechanisms.
  • Shadow the Sustainability Manager to support the delivery of site environmental audits.
  • Stay informed about key sustainability legislation and industry trends to support business performance.
