Lead the FM delivery at an Innovation & Technology Centre, covering manufacturing, clean rooms, labs, offices and plant areas. Highly customer-facing role requiring strong technical leadership, stakeholder management and operational control in a regulated, business-critical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full P&L of approx. £4m, ensuring commercial performance, cost control, WIP and debt management.
- Lead stakeholder relationships across Plant, Lab and Manufacturing areas, ensuring service delivery meets all contractual requirements.
- Ensure all KPIs, SLAs and programme commitments are achieved with no slippage.
- Oversee all PPM and reactive maintenance, ensuring compliance, accurate CAFM updates and timely completion.
- Support and guide the engineering team on technical issues, leading from the front and coaching where required.
- Maintain compliance with statutory, regulatory and contractual obligations including GMP/GxP, SHEQ and ISO-aligned QMS.
- Operate and oversee Permit to Work, contractor control and risk management processes.
- Produce accurate monthly reports, performance updates, risk analysis and improvement actions.
- Drive continuous improvement, best practice and high-performance culture across the FM team.
- Act as primary on-site customer contact, ensuring strong relationships, proactive communication and high satisfaction.
Required Background
- Minimum 10 years FM management experience, ideally in pharmaceutical or similarly regulated/critical environments (Data Centres, Banking, Defence).
- Hard FM technical qualification in a relevant engineering field.
- Strong leadership capability with experience developing multi-disciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of GMP/GxP, SOP development and regulated operations.
- Proficient with CMMS/CAFM systems (Maximo preferred) and Microsoft Office.
- Full clean driving licence, able to pass DBS, willing to join out-of-hours rota and occasional weekend work.
