We’re currently representing a respected civil and structural engineering consultancy in Gloucester that is expanding their Structures team. Off the back of a consistently strong workload and continued client demand, the business is seeking a Structural Engineer to support the delivery of a varied portfolio of building projects.
The successful Structural Engineer will join an established and supportive team working across commercial, industrial, retail, public sector and residential schemes. You’ll be involved in structural design from early-stage feasibility through to construction, working alongside senior engineers and technicians while gaining hands-on exposure to a wide range of building forms and materials. This is a role that offers genuine responsibility, variety and the opportunity to steadily grow your technical capability within a collaborative consultancy environment.
My client is looking for a motivated Structural Engineer who can contribute to project delivery, produce sound structural designs and calculations, and continue developing under the guidance of experienced senior engineers.

- Experience working on building structures within a UK consultancy.
- Competence in structural design using steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber.
- Experience with structural analysis and design software commonly used in UK practice.
- Ability to prepare design calculations and assist with technical reports and drawings.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with others.
- A proactive mindset with a genuine interest in developing as a structural engineer.
- A strong academic background with a BEng or MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Working towards chartership with the IStructE or ICE.
