Overview

As a Senior Structural Engineer you will lead complex projects from concept to completion across commercial, residential, mixed-use, education, healthcare and infrastructure in our London operation. You’ll manage and mentor engineers, while building strong client, architect and contractor relationships and contributing to business development. You will shape delivery through technical leadership, innovation, sustainability, and adherence to best engineering practices. This role offers visible leadership within a growing London team and meaningful impact on project delivery and strategic direction.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects from concept through to completion across multiple sectors
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary design and deliverables
  • Mentor engineers, graduates and CAD/BIM technicians
  • Develop and maintain client relationships and manage stakeholder expectations
  • Contribute to business development and strategic direction of the London operation
  • Ensure design quality, programme adherence and commercial performance
  • Promote innovation, sustainability and best engineering practice

Key requirements

  • Minimum five years’ structural engineering experience in a UK consultancy
  • Proven track record leading complex structural projects with multidisciplinary coordination
  • Strong technical knowledge of Eurocodes, British Standards, UK Building Regulations and CDM Regulations
  • Design experience across reinforced concrete, structural steel, timber and masonry
  • Strong leadership with mentoring and resource management experience
  • Commercial awareness including budgets, resources, risks and fee proposals, plus client relationship experience
  • Experience with structural/design software (Tekla Structural Designer, SCIA Engineer, Tedds, MasterSeries, AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks)
  • Chartered Engineer status with IStructE/ICE, or near to qualification (desirable)
