The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to lead the design and delivery of civil engineering projects from feasibility through to construction. You’ll ensure solutions are safe, practical, cost-effective, and fully compliant while supporting and mentoring junior team members.
Responsibilities
- Lead civil engineering designs and technical delivery across multiple projects
- Take ownership of technical decisions, ensuring compliance with standards and the Building Safety Act 2022
- Manage project delivery, resources, budgets, and risks
- Mentor and develop junior engineers, supporting chartership progression
- Build strong client relationships and act as a key point of contact
- Contribute to tenders, business development, and commercial performance
- Promote health & safety, sustainability, and best practice
About you
- Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
- 5–10+ years’ experience in drainage and infrastructure design
- Strong skills in Civil 3D and MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage
- Experience working with local authorities and regulators (LLFA, EA)
- Chartered or working towards ICE chartership
- Strong leadership, communication, and commercial awareness
