We have an opening for a Civil Engineer to join a medium sized multidisciplinary design consultancy in the heart of Southwest Hampshire.
This consultancy is renowned for designing and delivering complex mixed use, major residential and commercial build projects up to the value of £500m.
With plans to expand to 10 offices across the UK, they’re a privately owned consultancy, offering autonomy, flexibility and trust.

The role
- Designing preliminary and detailed highways in line with Section 38 and Section 278 of the Highways Act.
- Delivering strategic and detailed drainage designs (including S104/S98 Water Act), as well as foul pumping stations, SUDS, flow control structures, and balancing facilities.
- Producing residential and commercial external works designs, including conducting earthworks assessments.
- Preparing technical reports, design assessments, planning statements, and fee proposals.
- Supporting project delivery from proposal through to practical completion, while ensuring quality, cost, and timeline objectives are being met.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, and coordinating with other disciplines.
- Ensuring full compliance with all relevant standards, policies, and legislation (including CDM Regulations and UK Building Regulations).
- What you need to succeed
- A minimum of HND/C in Civil Engineering (a degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline is desirable).
- Experience in Auto CAD, Microdrainage, Civil 3D & Su Ds.
- A desire to achieve Chartered status.
- Experience in highway and drainage design.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively across disciplines and with clients.
