Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Project Engineer to join our Water Consultancy business.

As a Project Engineer you will provide technical leadership and guidance to a project team focused on delivering pressure management solutions in the delivery of projects to ensure accurate and efficient project delivery in terms of quality, time and budget.

Our client is a water consulting team of engineers, modellers, and data analysts providing asset management and operational strategy development to support business planning and delivery for water industry clients.

As a key member of the Water Consultancy business, your role as Project Engineer is critical to helping them deliver great projects for their Water Industry clients.

You will be working alongside a multi-disciplinary team of water project experts on a range of capital delivery projects.

The role

  • Lead a large project team to deliver work to clients.
  • Guidance and support to less experienced colleagues working within your project team and beyond
  • Take responsibility for delivering toolbox talks to the teams.
  • Be responsible for the delivery of multiple pressure management schemes for specific client projects in accordance with project objectives (which you have agreed with the Client), undertaking and leading processes in line with specific Client Standards and Specifications.
  • Take responsibility for delivery of a large project and programmes of work including:
  • Feasibility studies / options development.
  • Asset Performance Assessments / Reviews.
  • Report preparation / drawings.
  • Scoping surveys and scheduling of work for survey teams and liaison during the projects
  • Action any changes that impact your projects which have been agreed between the framework manager and the client.
  • What you need to succeed
  • You will have a proven record of delivering programmes of work to time, cost and quality in line with framework requirements and client specifications and manage change control (deviations), strategic risk and opportunities.
  • Demonstrable experience in discipline-specific network modelling applications such as Info Works ICM, Info Works WS Pro or Syner GEE, with Info Asset experience also beneficial.
  • Experience with GIS software (preferably Map Info, Arc GIS, QGIS).
  • Preferably degree qualified in a relevant technical subject. Postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.
  • Chartership or working towards chartership for Senior or Principal grades.
  • Affiliation with a professional institution like IET, Inst MC, or CIWEM, or in the process of working towards membership and nearing application.
  • Proficient in MS 365 applications.
