An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a growing civil engineering contractor delivering infrastructure projects across sectors including water, highways, reinforced concrete structures and national infrastructure schemes. The business has built a strong reputation for quality delivery, innovation and long-term client relationships, with a strong pipeline of secured work.
You’ll be joining a dynamic commercial team and taking ownership of key project financials, working closely with operational teams to ensure successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities:- Commercial management of projects from tender through to final account
- Preparation of valuations, cost reports and forecasts
- Subcontract procurement, administration and payment
- Managing variations and change control
- Supporting project delivery teams with commercial insight
- Ensuring contractual compliance (NEC contracts preferred)
- Building strong working relationships with clients and stakeholders
We are considering both intermediate and senior-level candidates. You will have:
- Experience as a QS or SQS within civil engineering or infrastructure
- Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail
- Experience managing subcontract accounts and project costs
- Good working knowledge of NEC (or similar) contracts
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Experience in water, highways or major infrastructure projects
- Relevant degree (Quantity Surveying or similar)
- Progression towards or attainment of RICS / CIOB accreditation
