A well-established and highly respected structural engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Principal Structural Engineer for their central London office near Holborn.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Chartered Engineer who enjoys autonomy, client interaction, and working on technically varied refurbishment projects across a broad range of sectors.

The business has built a strong reputation for delivering practical, high-quality engineering solutions and maintains long-standing relationships with a number of blue-chip and repeat clients.

The successful candidate will join a close-knit and collaborative team delivering predominantly refurbishment and survey-led projects across the retail, residential, commercial and industrial sectors.

Typical project values are below 5m, offering the chance to work across numerous fast-paced schemes simultaneously while maintaining strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.

This role would suit someone who enjoys being hands-on, leading projects independently, attending client meetings, carrying out surveys, producing detailed reports, and mentoring junior engineers where required.

With a steady pipeline of work and a strong reputation in the market, this position offers genuine long-term progression and the opportunity to become a key figure within the business.

Our client is seeking a Chartered Structural Engineer (MIStruct E or MICE) who is confident operating autonomously and comfortable taking ownership of projects from inception through to completion.

Experience delivering refurbishment and survey projects within live environments would be highly advantageous.
