We’re working with a well known client with offices across the UK, they are a well‑regarded structural and civil engineering consultancy, to recruit a Graduate Structural Engineer for their Leeds office. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate looking to start their career within a supportive consultancy environment, gaining exposure to a broad range of building projects and receiving structured support towards professional development.

The Role

  • As a Graduate Structural Engineer, you’ll join an established team and support the delivery of structural engineering services across multiple sectors. The role will involve:
    • Assisting with the design and analysis of structures using steel, concrete, timber, and masonry
    • Preparing calculations, sketches, and technical information
    • Supporting senior engineers with project coordination and delivery
    • Attending site visits and design meetings where required
    • Developing your understanding of UK design standards and best practice
    • Progressively taking on more responsibility as your experience grows

Candidate Requirements

  • Our client is looking for a motivated graduate with a strong interest in buildings and structural design. Suitable candidates will typically have:
    • A degree (or expected degree) in Structural Engineering or Civil & Structural Engineering
    • Strong numerical and analytical skills
    • Good written and verbal communication skills
    • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
    • The ability to work well within a collaborative team environment
    • Previous consultancy, placement, or internship experience is advantageous but not essential.
