We are looking for a motivated Graduate Geotechnical Engineer to join their growing team in Newark. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to develop technical skills, gain hands‑on experience and work on a diverse range of projects across infrastructure, commercial, and residential developments.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with site investigations, including planning and supervising ground investigations
  • Interpret geotechnical data and prepare factual and interpretive reports
  • Support design work involving foundations, slopes, retaining structures, and ground improvement
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Conduct site visits to monitor ground conditions and construction progress
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards and health & safety regulations

About

  • Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology, or similar
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Good report writing and communication skills
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable

  • Knowledge of geotechnical software (e.g. GeoStudio, PLAXIS, or similar)
  • Understanding of UK ground investigation standards (BS5930, Eurocode 7)
  • Previous internship or placement experience
