We are looking for a skilled Architectural CAD Technician to join our team!
This is an exciting opportunity to work on residential house building projects, producing construction drawings and supporting our wider architectural team.
- Key Requirements
- Qualification in Architectural Technology, Building, or Architecture (BTEC Level 3 / ONC / OND).
- Proficient in Auto CAD; Revit knowledge is a plus.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the house building industry, with knowledge of traditional and modern construction methods.
- Understanding of structural, thermal, energy, fire, and acoustic design principles as they relate to dwellings.
- Familiarity with service requirements (Data, Telecom, Water, Electrical, PV/Battery, Ventilation).
- Knowledge of Building Regulations, warranty standards, and basic Health & Safety principles.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and amend house type working drawings to meet project requirements.
- Produce construction detail drawings, including structural steel details where needed.
- Coordinate with external consultants and ensure designs are compatible with working drawings.
- Incorporate feedback from internal teams and Housing Associations into drawings.
- Assist with brochure plans, dimensions, and H&S plans.
